The Everglades is a great park to spot interesting wildlife and get intrigued by the landscape, but that’s not all. There are several educational programs that are available for kids as well as adults that are conducted by the park. Numerous researches are being held daily in the Everglades with the goal of discovering more about the landscape as well as the wildlife of this park. Kids and youth
Most of the time, kids love wildlife. Being in a park as big as the Everglades surrounding by so many different species of animals can be one of their best playgrounds from an Airboat. There are regular ranger programs that kids can join in the park. There are four different locations in the park where rangers are positioned and will teach to others everything about the wildlife in this part of the Everglades. Students can also come in this park to pursue some research if they want. They will need a special permit to do so. On the same note, they will be able to take professional photos of the wildlife if needed for a particular project

On the website of the Everglades Park, one can find various videos available for free and that can even be downloaded on a computer. Some videos are made to help you plan your visit. The park is pretty big. As such, it will be extremely difficult to be able to see the entirety of the park in one day. These videos will help you see what type of animals belong to what area. Some video clips will focus on the mountains and valleys of the Everglades, showing you the nature around. Other ones, will give you information about the wildlife living in the park and their behavior.
Current research in the Everglades
All the researches happening in the Everglades are conducted by the South Florida Natural Resources Center. All researches are made for the park to make sure everything is in place and learn more about the animals inhabiting it. There are research programs about the wildlife, the water quality, the restoration of the park as well as a focus on invasive plants species. The center will regularly publish its findings, documenting decades of scientific study from the park. Other researches coming from universities, local and federal agencies, and non-governmental organizations can be permitted in the park.
